What did aid agencies do to help?Japanese Tsunami 2011 - Manuela116 countries and 28 organisations all around the world offered to help Japan out after the tsunami. Aid agencies flew in from across the world to assist. Agencies sent over many materials to try to help the people, they sent 2,000 blankets, 900 tents and 200 emergency lights. Lots of aid agencies assisted to help cure people, although there are still many people missing or injured, it made a difference to some people at least.
Phuket Tsunami - LauraMany organisations and funding projects successfully helped the countries affected by the devastating tsunami and earthquake. From 2004 onwards, the salvation army were involved in over 20 projects to help support the countries affected. The Australian corporations donated $6.3 million to the Salvation Army Asia Relief Appeal.In March 2007, 19 new borewells were made and 200 houses were reconstructed due to the help of different organisations across the world.
