Japanese Tsunami 2011I think that Japan wasn’t prepared for this disaster, but I reckon that they coped better than LEDC, as they have more money to deal with the problem and try to fix it themselves, but then LEDC will get more support from other countries to help them. I think that Japan had an advantage, as they experienced these kinds of disasters many times before this. There are still many people that are homeless and left without resources, but they would have coped better than countries with less money, as they could pay off more things to get fixed earlier and would be safer.
Phuket TsunamiThe highly destructive 2004 Indian Ocean Tsunami caused shocking effects on all of the 14 countries in which were affected by the earthquake and tsunami. I feel the natural disaster caused extreme impacts on many things, such as housing, deaths and injuries upon those affected. Being an LEDC, it was harder to cope with the disaster as it may have been harder to maintain the country after the tsunami.
